Main duties of the job
As Practice Manager, you will take a leading role in the day-to-day operations of our GP practice, working closely with our dedicated clinical partners and talented administrative and nursing teams. This role offers the autonomy to shape the practice management function while enjoying the full support of an engaged partnership.
The ideal candidate will:
Have proven experience in primary care management(essential)
Demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills
Be confident in financial management, including accounts, budgeting, and forecasting
Possess expertise in CQC, governance, and contract compliance
Be able to maximise income without compromising quality of care
Exhibit excellent interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
Thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with stakeholders and PCN partners

Our Practice at a Glance
Location: In the beautiful town of Lostwithiel, on the river Fowey and close to the Cornish coast and the countryside. We are very well supported by our community and we also work closely with our local independent pharmacy in the town to ensure our patients receive the best care.
Patients: A growing list of 5,250 patients. We were recently voted best practice in Cornwall and 6th best in the country for patient satisfaction
Team: Experienced and dedicated administrative and nursing staff, supported by our GP and Pharmacist Partner
Training Practice: Active involvement in GP VTS training, University of Exeter Medical School and University of Plymouth School of Nursing
Collaborative work: We work closely with our neighbouring practices and PCN and we are also active in the development of out Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT), being a Phase 1 site in Cornwall.
