Practice Manager - Maternity cover

The practice is located in the idyllic picturesque town of Stockbridge, Hampshire, only a short distance from Salisbury, Romsey, Andover, or Winchester. Stockbridge was named one of the 21 'it towns' to live in and the high street is full of award winning eateries, pubs, independent boutiques, delis and galleries.

River Dental is a beautiful boutique style fully private state of the art modern four surgery practice located on the River Test in Stockbridge. We are well established and have an excellent reputation for our patient care, being winners of Best Patient Care and Practice Of The Year awards at The Private Dentistry Awards.

Alongside general dentistry we offer specialties including Endodontics, Implants, and Periodontics.

Salary:

TBC dependant on experience

Hours:

40 Hours a week Mon -Friday

Fixed Term April 2026 - January 2027

Key responsibilities & duties:

The Practice Managers duties are as listed but not limited to;

Ensuring the highest levels of care and patient experience Maintaining the practice's reputation Identifying opportunities to grow the practice Recruitment and staff inductions Deliver financial KPIs Efficient day-to-day running of the practice Manage practice controllable costs in line with budgets Activity management to meet Private targets Hold regular practice and clinician meetings Gather and analyse relevant activity data Grow private patient numbers

Key qualities:

Well-presented and articulate Highly organised with excellent time management A positive and friendly personality Calm with an ability to work under pressure Excellent attention to detail Passionate about Dentistry and enjoys constantly learning and developing your role A team player who can work independently

Work experience and skills:

At least 1 year Management experience preferred or Head receptionist looking for extra responsibilities The successful applicant will either have a solid background in clinical dentistry and some experience of administration of dental practices or impressive management experience Excellent leadership skills with extremely high standards An excellent communicator with a passion for helping people and growing teams CQC knowledge advantageous Computer literate essential and SOE experience advantageous but not essential
