Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our GP practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, financial acumen, and a passion for patient care. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our practice runs smoothly while providing exceptional service to our patients.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of healthcare professionals and support staff, fostering a positive work environment. Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, workflow and resource allocation to ensure efficient practice functioning. Oversee financial management tasks such as budgeting, invoicing, and monitoring expenses to maintain financial health. Handle human resources responsibilities including recruitment, training, performance evaluations and staff development. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards while promoting best practices within the practice. Collaborate with GPs to enhance patient care and client satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.

Requirements

Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a primary care or healthcare setting is essential. Strong financial management skills with the ability to analyse budgets and financial reports effectively. Experience in human resources functions including recruitment, training, and employee relations is highly desirable. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with staff and patients alike.
