Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly collaboration of eight GP Practices. The applicant will primarily work in our Bexhill branches at Collington, Pebsham, Sea Road and Ninfield surgeries.

Working alongside the nursing team and under the direct supervision of the Lead Nurses and Nurse Manager the post-holder will be responsible for delivering nursing services and assisting clinical staff in the provision of treatment for long term conditions, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.

Supported by a Multidisciplinary Team you will deliver care within your scope and work collaboratively with the whole team to meet the needs of patients and improve outcomes, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures and provide leadership as required.

Clinically, the focus of the role is management of patients with long-term conditions and general nursing interventions for patients. It is highly desirable that the successful candidate would have knowledge and experience in Diabetes Management, Asthma/COPD management, cervical cytology, childhood Immunisations and advanced wound care.

A team player with good clinical skills and an interest in further training and personal development are vital. The ability to work autonomously within a busy team environment is essential.

Previous GP Practice experience is desirable, EMIS Web clinical system and proficient use with I.T systems would be an advantage.

The post holder will also strive to maximise the practices achievement of both Local and National Quality and Performance objectives.

Salary dependant on experience.
