Clinical Duties Deliver care for patients with chronic diseases, including asthma, COPD, diabetes, and hypertension Provide cervical cytology (smears) in accordance with national screening guidelines Administer vaccinations and immunisations (childhood, adult, and travel) Perform wound care, dressings, and removal of sutures/staples Assist with family planning, contraceptive advice, and NHS health checks Undertake ECGs, blood pressure checks, and other routine procedures Support infection prevention and control within the practice Provide lifestyle advice and health promotion to improve patient outcomes Collaborative Working Work closely with GPs, HCAs, pharmacists, and other clinical staff to deliver coordinated care Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case reviews as needed Refer patients appropriately within the team and to external services Governance and Safety Ensure accurate, timely documentation in clinical records (using SystmOne) Follow safeguarding protocols and contribute to safeguarding vulnerable patients Adhere to infection control policies, cold chain management, and health and safety procedures Engage with clinical audits, QOF targets, and quality improvement activities Maintain NMC registration and meet revalidation requirements
