We have a fantastic opportunity for a Preceptorship Psychologist to join our integrated mental health team across across HMP Fosse Way and HMP Five Wells both category C prison supporting males aged 21+. Within this role you will work with a broad range of complex presentations, the position would suit a Psychologist familiar with adult mental health presentations, neurodiversity and complex trauma. You must be familiar with trauma informed approaches and will contribute to and support the clinical leadership team in the development of the psychological therapies service. The role includes supervising Assistant Psychologists, and if required supervision training can be supported as part of your preceptorship.
Hours
Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
2.5 days on each site
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive a salary of up to 56,000 per annum depending on experience

What you'll be doing
As a qualified, HCPC registered Psychologist, your responsibilities will vary. You will Offer clinical support and oversight to the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT) in the form of training, supervision and reflective practice
Undertake psychological assessments and support complex multi-disciplinary formulations
Deliver and oversee the delivery of 1:1 psychological interventions and group intervention as part of the Trauma Informed 'Making Sense' Programme
Deliver teaching and training to healthcare and prison staff where required
Contribute to the development of audit, service evaluation and research profile as appropriate

Qualifications required#
Full HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist
Knowledge of evidenced based psychological therapies relevant to the clinical needs of people in prison
Understanding of complex mental health issues and presentation
Experience providing evidence based psychological interventions to adults with a range of mental health problems;
Experience of working with mental health forensic population
