Who we are looking for:



We are seeking a dedicated

Premises Manager

to lead the day-to-day operations and strategic management of our complex split school site.

You will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors. This is a hands-on role that also involves overseeing site staff, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:



Manage the maintenance, security, and cleanliness of the site and buildings

Oversee planned and reactive maintenance schedules

Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation and statutory testing

Supervise site staff and coordinate external contractors

Lead on emergency procedures, risk assessments, and site safety

Manage budgets for premises-related work and procurement

Support with setting up for school events and lettings as required

The ideal candidate will have:



Proven experience in a similar premises, facilities or site management role

Strong understanding of health and safety requirements (including COSHH, fire safety, risk assessments)

Excellent organisational, problem-solving and interpersonal skills

Competency with IT systems for record keeping and compliance monitoring

A flexible, "can-do" approach and the ability to take initiative

Relevant qualifications (e.g. IOSH/NEBOSH, trade qualifications) are desirable

The post is full-time and permanent 37 hours per week, full year. The salary for this role is 39.,150-41,770 (plus a recruitment allowance is available for the right candidate). Travel between schools will be needed therefore the successful candidate will hold a valid driving licence. This role reports to the Head of Estates and will have a team that report directly to the post-holder.
