Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and food preparation and is also barista trained and is willing to work flexibly between the central production kitchen and coffee and bagel shop we run from the same premises.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee bar, kitchens and surrounding areas, adhering to food safety regulations. Supervise and train junior staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment. Manage inventory levels of food, coffee and other supplies, placing orders as necessary. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Assist in food preparation and cooking when required, ensuring all items meet our quality standards. Uphold the highest levels of hospitality by creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere for guests.

Requirements

Previous experience in both chef and barista roles or similar position within the hospitality industry is preferred. Supervising experience is an advantage, with strong leadership skills to guide team members effectively. Knowledge of food production processes and food safety regulations is essential. Culinary experience or kitchen experience will be beneficial in this role. Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused attitude. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for coffee and an eagerness to learn about different brewing techniques and flavours. Pay: 12.50-14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 50 per week
