As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading a team of kitchen staff to achieve excellence in service.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards. Manage food inventory, ensuring proper storage and handling to maintain freshness and safety. Implement and uphold food safety regulations and hygiene practices within the kitchen. Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends. Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new kitchen staff as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent cooking skills with experience in various cuisines preferred. Previous supervisory experience is an advantage, demonstrating capability in team management. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences.

Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour
