As a Prep Chef, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety while supporting the Head Chef in daily tasks.
Responsibilities
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulations.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new recipes and menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely.
Handle any customer complaints or feedback regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Prep Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary methods, and food safety standards.
Excellent skills with the ability to work with minimum supervision effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and production.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's schedule.
Passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes that delight customers.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
