The Role
We're currently looking for a
Prep Chef
to join our kitchen team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a wide range of responsibilities, from prepping ingredients for our cafe and restaurant to supporting our events and functions team with food preparation.
This is a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our kitchen operations. You'll work directly under the
Head Chef
(or
Sous Chef
in their absence), and while the primary focus is prep,
training will be provided
for any occasional line cooking requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients to spec, including chopping vegetables, cooking sauces, baking, and preparing meats.
Follow recipes and spec sheets with precision.
Support food prep for private events and functions (e.g., weddings, corporate bookings).
Liaise with the Functions Team to ensure smooth food service for events.
Maintain a clean and organised prep station.
Communicate clearly with kitchen team members and front-of-house as needed.
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
What We're Looking For
A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential.
Some kitchen/prep experience is preferred, especially in high-volume or events-based environments.
Confidence in following recipes and prep specifications accurately.
Ability to work efficiently with good attention to detail.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings for event support.
A team player who values a friendly and collaborative kitchen environment.
Must have the right to work in the UK and a good command of English.
