As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and leading a team of cooks in food preparation and production.

Duties

Supervise and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service. Prepare high-quality meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain food safety and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely. Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen procedures. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Demonstrated ability in team management and supervising kitchen staff. Proficiency in food preparation techniques, including cooking methods and presentation skills. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. A passion for culinary arts with creativity in menu planning and dish creation.
