Shifts/Hours:

Typically 30 hours per week over a 4 day working pattern

About Us:

Barsby Produce has developed a strong reputation for the production, supply and distribution of quality vegetables to restaurants, pubs and schools across the East of England. The business continues to develop and grow and delivers throughout East Anglia. The business operates a preparation facility which produces freshly-prepared vegetables including potatoes and carrots.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Preparation of vegetables as per specifications:

? Ensuring that produce is prepared in accordance to specification

? Ensuring that produce is prepared following standard operating procedures

? Ensuring you follow instruction given by prep team supervisors

? Operating light equipment and machinery in a safe manner

? Lifting raw material up to 20kg in weight

To be considered for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate your ability to work as a team and willing to work in an efficient manner. You will be a dependable individual who is self-motivated and keen to work hard.

You will be expected to hold basic numeracy and literacy skills. Previous manufacturing or specifically preparation experience would be advantageous, but not essential.

We will expect you to have a passion for fresh produce and the desire to uphold and enhance the strong brand reputation of Barsby as a supplier of quality freshly prepared produce.

This role plays an integral part in the success of Barsby Produce and we are looking for an exceptional candidate who is able to work in a small team and meet specific targets.

Experience & Skill Attributes:

Essential Traits:

? You must be physically fit due to the requirement to lift raw material up to 20kg in weight

? You must be able to work within a working manufacturing setting

? Willing to be taught and learn how to use specific equipment and machinery

? You must be computer literate

Preferential Traits:

? Experience of working in a manufacturing environment, specifically prepared produce

? Good understanding of product recognition for fresh produce

? Holds Food Safety Level 2 or Above.

? Good communication and a preparedness to contribute as a team member

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 13.55 per hour
