Summary

The Pre-Press Technician plays a key role in supporting the Pre-Press department to deliver a responsive and efficient service. The role is integral to maintaining operational flexibility, ensuring the department can adapt to changing priorities and urgent requirements. Working in a dynamic environment, the technician will carry out a variety of tasks assigned either in advance or on the day, in line with departmental needs.

Responsibilities

Mounting Support: Assist with plate mounting processes to ensure timely and accurate preparation for press.

Plate Library Management: Organise, store, and retrieve plates as needed, maintaining clear records and ensuring proper handling.

Plate Cleaning: Clean and maintain printing plates to company standards, ensuring their readiness for reuse.

Flexible Deployment: Be adaptable to cover multiple pre-press duties as required across the team, depending on daily or weekly scheduling.

Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to support smooth workflow and maintain high standards.

Health & Safety: Comply with all safety policies and procedures within the Pre-Press environment.

Requirements

Manufacturing background preferred

Positive attitude with a flexible and proactive approach to work.

Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.

Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Reliability and punctuality are essential.
