Book Printing UK, an established printer based in Peterborough, is looking for a skilled Pre-Press PC Operator to join our fast-paced print studio team. This is a technical role focused on pre-press processes, not graphic design.

Your Role:

As a Pre-Press Technician, you will be crucial in processing and controlling customer print artwork using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat/Pitstop Pro. You'll collaborate with our Sales team and customers to understand and meet artwork requirements, ensuring every file is print-ready.

As well as being a busy, fast-paced department we also work with a wide variety of customers and file types so we can guarantee this is a role that you'll never be bored in.

Key Responsibilities:

Use Adobe & Office Suites to amend and produce print-ready files. Liaise with the Sales team and customers to understand artwork requirements. Check and prepare artwork for print. Review supplied customer artwork for print compatibility. Ensure compliance with the company's quality management systems.

What We're Looking For:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite & Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat/Pitstop Pro) Ideal, but training will be provided on the above. High computer literacy levels Ability to work on multiple projects while adhering to deadlines. Enthusiastic with a strong desire to learn and develop. Meticulous attention to detail. Well-organised with the ability to manage and prioritise workload. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Team player with a willingness to get involved and collaborate.
