Buckland Newton Primary School are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed Pre-School Assistant to join our nurturing early years team.
As a key member of our school community you will help to create a safe, stimulating and supportive environment where every child can thrive and develop a lifelong love of learning.
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience of working with young children in an early years setting
Demonstrate warmth, patience and strong communication skills
Support children's learning through play and planned activities
Work collaboratively with the wider staff team
Promote a caring and inclusive environment where all children feel valued
Essential: NVQ2 in Early Years
Desirable: Food Hygiene and Paediatric First Aid certificates

SAST will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. It will have contact with young people on a day-to-day basis. The successful candidate will have to meet the person specification and the post is subject to safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check and Children's Barred List check.
