Job Description

Preschool assistant - 35hrs per week (term time only) 8.15 a.m - 3.45 p.m.

Minimum requirement LVL 3 NVQ Early Years Practitioner/Childcare, must have experience. First Aid trained/Paediatric First Aid preferred. Safeguarding knowledge/training completed.

Main duties - Implement EYFS curriculum, follow daily plans of activities. Help children to learn and develop socially, physically and emotionally through familiar routines, stimulating educational play and other child based activities.

Set out and put away activities and equipment.

Involved with the planning and evaluation process.

To keep children's learning journal up to date daily/weekly.

To follow all Preschool policies and procedures.

To safeguard children/adults at all times.

Adhere to statutory and legal requirements.

Work together with the rest of the team to provide high quality care for children aged 2 to 4 years.
