Job Summary


The Deputy Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the overall operations of our nursery, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. This position involves assisting the Manager in overseeing daily activities, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of early childhood education and childcare. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess strong leadership skills to drive the team towards achieving our educational goals.

Duties



Assist in the management of nursery operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies. Support the development and implementation of educational programmes that promote early childhood learning and development. Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional growth. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication and engagement. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their wellbeing at all times. Collaborate with the Manager in planning activities and events that encourage parental involvement and community engagement. Monitor children's progress and development, providing feedback to parents as necessary.

Skills



Strong background in nursery settings or early childhood education is essential. Experience in childcare management or leadership roles is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Proven leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their developmental needs. Capability to drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care and education provided within the nursery setting.
