Deputy Preschool Manager

Hours: 08:00 - 15:00 Term Time Only

Salary: 21,000 per annum

Location: Grays

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Deputy Preschool Manager to

support the day-to-day running of our friendly and nurturing preschool setting. This is an

excellent opportunity for an early years professional ready to take the next step in their

career.

About the Role

As Deputy Preschool Manager, you will work closely with the Preschool Manager to ensure

high standards of care, learning, and development for all children. You will help lead and

support the team, maintain compliance with EYFS and safeguarding requirements, and

contribute to creating a positive and stimulating learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Preschool Manager in the daily management of the setting

Lead practice within the room and act as Manager in their absence

Ensure high-quality EYFS provision and inclusive practice

Support staff development, mentoring, and supervision

Maintain strong relationships with parents, carers, and professionals

Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare requirements are met

Assist with planning, assessments, and observations

About You

Level 3 qualification in Early Years (Level 5 or above desirable)

Previous experience in a senior or deputy role within an early years setting

Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child development

Confident leadership and good communication skills

Passionate about providing high-quality early years education
