We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. The ideal applicant will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with experience in childcare and nursery environments. Excellent communication skills in English are essential, as is the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Must hold a minimum of a Level 3 in Early Education qualification
Duties
Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning through play and exploration
Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times
Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children's socialisation and emotional well-being
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities for parents and management
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards
Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development, behaviour, and achievements
Manage classroom organisation efficiently, ensuring resources are well-maintained and accessible
Lead by example in demonstrating positive behaviour management strategies and organisational skills
Assist with organising special events, outings, and parent meetings as required
Work closely with the school with curricular activities and events
Skills
Proven experience working with children in childcare or nursery settings
Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee classroom activities effectively
Excellent communication skills in English to liaise confidently with children, parents, and team members
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
Organisational skills to manage classroom resources efficiently
Childcare qualifications or relevant nursery experience are highly desirable
Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach towards young children
