Pre-School Manager - Term Time Only

Room-Based Leadership Role | Ofsted Lead | Every School Holiday Off

35-38 hours per week | Term time only (39 weeks per year)

Up to 26,800 pro rata (31,300 FTE equivalent)

- depending on hours & experience

Why This Role Is Different

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced Early Years professional who wants real responsibility without the burden of financial or funding admin.

You'll be fully supported by senior management, with protected non-contact time, while remaining primarily room-based and practice-focused.

The Role

As Pre-School Leader, you will:

Lead the day-to-day practice within the preschool room Inspire, support and mentor the staff team Ensure consistently high standards of EYFS, safeguarding and quality of care Act as the named lead for Ofsted inspections, confidently presenting practice and documentation (with support from the Senior manager) Be the main point of contact for parents within the setting Work closely with senior management for guidance and support
You will NOT be responsible for:

Invoicing or finance Funding claims or admin Staffing budgets or payroll
The role is predominantly room-based, with dedicated non-contact time for leadership and inspection readiness.

About You

You must have:

A minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification Significant experience in a nursery or pre-school setting Experience as a Room Leader, Deputy, or Senior Practitioner Confidence in leading an Ofsted inspection or acting as inspection lead Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding and quality improvement A calm, organised and approachable leadership style
SENCO experience is desirable but not essential.
