Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and inspirational Preschool Manager to lead our early years setting. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality care and education, creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive and staff feel supported and valued.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and inspire the preschool team to deliver outstanding early years provision. Ensure the setting meets all Ofsted and EYFS requirements, consistently maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health, safety, and wellbeing. Oversee daily operations, including staff rotas, room management, and administrative tasks such as funding, invoices, risk assesments and wages. Develop and implement engaging, child-centred learning environments and curriculum plans. Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and external agencies. Monitor and support staff performance, providing coaching, training, and appraisals. Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation, including children's learning journeys and statutory records. Promote inclusive practice and ensure all children's needs are met.

Experience

Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting. Strong management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively. Demonstrated leadership qualities in managing classroom activities and staff supervision. Experience with organising activities that promote inclusive learning environments. Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years/Childcare Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures. Previous leadership or management experience within an early years setting. (This is not essential) Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. A genuine passion for early childhood education and child development. Paediatric First Aid qualification. Experience preparing for Ofsted inspections. Additional SEND training or experience. (This is not essential)
