to oversee the leadership, quality, and day-to-day operations of
three preschool settings
within our growing childcare group.
The successful candidate will ensure that each preschool provides a warm, stimulating, and compliant environment where children can thrive. They will support managers and teams to deliver consistently high standards of education, care, and safeguarding in line with the EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
This is a
term-time only
position, offering a balanced role that combines hands-on support in settings with strategic oversight and development.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Support:
Provide strong leadership and professional guidance to preschool managers and teams, ensuring a clear shared vision and consistent high standards across all sites.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor and evaluate the quality of provision in line with the EYFS and Ofsted frameworks. Conduct regular audits, observations, and supervisions, ensuring continuous improvement.
Operational Oversight:
Oversee staffing, rotas, ratios, and daily operations across all preschools, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and effective use of resources.
Curriculum & Learning:
Support the implementation of an inspiring and inclusive curriculum that promotes learning through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences.
Safeguarding & Compliance:
Champion safeguarding and child protection, ensuring all staff uphold the highest standards and follow statutory requirements. Maintain compliance with health and safety, GDPR, and company policies.
Staff Development:
Recruit, mentor, and develop staff, identifying training needs and supporting professional growth to strengthen practice and team morale.
Parent Partnerships:
Build positive relationships with families, encouraging open communication and collaboration to support each child's development and wellbeing.
Financial Awareness:
Work with the senior management team to monitor budgets, occupancy, and resource allocation, supporting financial sustainability and growth.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for development and lead improvement plans, ensuring all settings are prepared for Ofsted inspections and maintain high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
A
minimum Level 3 qualification
in Early Years Education (Level 5/6 preferred).
Proven experience in
managing or overseeing multiple preschool or nursery settings
.
Excellent knowledge of the
EYFS
,
Ofsted inspection frameworks
, and safeguarding procedures.
Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.
Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities, with flexibility to travel between sites.
A valid
driving licence and access to a vehicle
is essential.
