We are looking for a manager to work at our small independent pre-school. The correct person would need to have level 3 or above qualifications as well as experience managing a nursery/ pre-school. We are a term time only, and pack away for part of the week, with amazing grounds which we use daily. We are a registered charity.
The role would include much of the week working with the children aged 2-5, with allocated time for the manager role.
Competitive wage, dependent on experience.
We are looking for someone who would:
Lead and manage the nursery staff, providing support, training, and development opportunities. Be able to model best practice whilst working with the children.
Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and maintain the highest standards of Health and Safety and well-being for all children.
Implement engaging and age-appropriate curricula in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Conduct performance appraisals and support staff in their professional growth.
Be responsible for robust safeguarding practices, ensuring policies are adhered to at all times.
Have a good understanding of SEND and be able to support children and their families as well as staff. Have a good knowledge of how to access support for those families and children.
Have excellent communication skills and be able to build good relationships with staff, families and professionals.
Plan meetings and training sessions for staff.
Be organised and efficient, with an eye for detail.
Be able to complete tasks such as updating policies, ensuring forms are completed and referrals are made in a timely manner.
A working knowledge of technology is important.
