Job Summary

Childcare Practitioner (Maternity Cover) Join our OUTSTANDING friendly, nurturing early years and out of school cub team. We're looking for a warm, enthusiastic practitioner to join us on a maternity-cover contract and help create joyful, engaging experiences for our children.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development in line with curriculum standards. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social interaction. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Manage classroom behaviour effectively through positive reinforcement techniques. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns. Maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance. Collaborate with colleagues to organise special events, outings, and developmental assessments. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the nursery setting. Demonstrate leadership by guiding assistant staff or volunteers as needed.

Experience

Preferably level 3 Early Years qualified. Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood education setting. Knowledge of childcare best practices and early childhood development principles. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Previous nursery experience is highly desirable.

Pay: 24,804.00 per year
