Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner at Level 2 or 3 to join our Pre-School team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with young children, supporting their development through engaging activities, personalised care and create a nurturing learning environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while working within a supportive and professional setting.

Duties

Manage and lead age-appropriate educational activities that promote child development Implement the pre-school's curriculum to support early childhood education Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times within the setting and the outdoor play area Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication Maintain accurate records of children's progress and developmental milestones Support children's individual needs through personalised care and attention Assist with organising special events, outings, and parent meetings as required

Skills

Proven experience working with children in childcare, nursery or early childhood education settings Qualified at Level 2 or 3 in Early Childhood Education or a related field Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Ability to create engaging educational activities for children Knowledge of early childhood development principles and educational best practices Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Required hours (term-time only)

Mondays (8:45 am - 3:15 pm, with a 20-minute lunch break), Thursdays & Fridays (8:45 am - 12:15 pm)

with the option of additional hours as our pre-school gets busier.
