Job summary

The successful applicant will work closely with our GPs, Physician Associates, Paramedic Practitioners, ACPs, Nurses and Reception Team as well as Community Pharmacists.

The position will be part time hours, but a flexible working pattern will be required to cover and will be able to work a Friday afternoon until 6pm.

Main duties of the job

Examples of work to be undertaken include but are not limited to:

Processing of routine repeat prescriptions using multiple platforms.

Expedite urgent prescription requests to ensure a safe and responsive service for our patients.

Working closely with the pharmacy team to assist with prescription queries, supply issues, medication alerts.

Liaise with community pharmacies.

Reconcile patient medications against hospital discharge summaries.

Prepare prescription requests sure safe prescribing of medicines, always ensuring a high level of accuracy.

Essential

We are seeking applications from highly motivated individuals, who have an understanding of prescribed medications or have previously worked within a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting, to join our friendly GP practice, as a prescription clerk

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
