Overview

We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machinery to fabricate and assemble sheet metal components. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Operate press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal according to specifications. Fabricate and assemble components using hand tools and other equipment. Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines to ensure optimal performance. Grind and finish metal parts as required, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately execute production tasks. Utilise tooling effectively for various fabrication processes. Apply basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during the manufacturing process. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines while maintaining safety standards.

Experience

Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes and techniques is advantageous. Experience using hand tools, grinders, and welding equipment is beneficial. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is essential. A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is crucial for success in this role.
