Working Hours:
On a matchday week, you will require to work approximately 21hrs (split between matchday and the two days preceding) for each domestic and international Crystal Palace FC home matchdays.
To include attending all home matchdays (shift begins 5 hours before kick-off, generally ends 90 minutes after full-time)
To include managing and attending MatchDay-1 UEFA Conference League pre-match training sessions and press conferences at Selhurst Park/CPFC Academy
Preparation work to predominantly take place on Matchday-2 and Matchday-1 with the flexibility to schedule these hours within the standard operating hours of 9-5.
Monitoring emails regularly throughout the week and forwarding on or responding to urgent or time-sensitive matters.
Bi-weekly check-ins via Zoom with the Press Office team to provide updates on media operations, ensuring alignment across all matchday media matters and inquiries in the week leading up to the match.
About this role:
Crystal Palace Football Club is looking for a part-time
Press Office Administrator (POA)
to join the club's Press Office team, who will be responsible for accreditation of media guests and the smooth running of the Media Centre on home matchdays, and the two days preceding.
On home matchdays, the POA will deal with the majority of enquiries regarding accreditation and will oversee a small team of Press Liaison Stewards, who are there to help maintain a safe and professional working environment for the media.
Ahead of a home matchday, the POA will administer and manage the processing of media accreditation (using DataCo - a centralised system for accredited media) and conduct pre-match checks to ensure the media centre and communal press areas are ready for matchday. He/she will also attend a Heads of Department pre-match meeting (typically 24-48 hours before kick-off) to share media requirements for matchday, and ensure all relevant staff are aware of their needs.
The successful candidate will have excellent administration and communication skills, as he/she will be the first point of contact for all media wishing to attend Selhurst Park on matchdays.
This role requires someone who is extremely well-organised, calm under pressure, has a 'can do' attitude, and is knowledgeable about football.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Head of Media Relations and Media Relations Manager in all aspects of the role.
Close liaison with Premier League Match Manager/UEFA Media Manager.
Manage all areas of media accreditation and matchday media operations at Selhurst Park.
Manage all media, broadcaster and opposition team accreditation requests for home fixtures via the DataCo system (training to be provided) & other systems when needed (UEFA)
Oversee media operations for MD-1 pre-match training sessions and press conferences ahead of UEFA Conference League matches.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date administrative records covering all areas of the match day media operations, ensuring information is organised and accessible.
Oversee set-up of the press box, media centre and photographers' lounge ahead of media arrivals on match day and for post-match media activity.
Act as floor supervisor pre, during and post-match. Conduct a short pre-match briefing for media stewards and catering staff.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure hight standards are maintained with regards catering, maintenance, IT, security, media hospitality and working areas.
Attend internal pre-match organisational meeting (in person or remote)
Act as point of contact for opposition media teams.
Act as a point of contact for any media enquiries/issues - passing on messages to relevant colleagues.
Support the Palace TV Production team as / when required during the post-match press conference.
Stay up to date with any fixture changes throughout the season, including PL / EFL Cup / FA Cup / UEFA Conference League draws and adjust match preparation accordingly
Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.

Experience administrating media accreditation using DataCo
Experience in (sports) events / hospitality.
Working knowledge of football / sports media industry.
Relevant experience working in a sporting media environment, dealing with media professionals.
