We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Wakefield, a

category A Prison located in West Yorkshire.





Hours



The site currently offers a 24-hour service and shift patterns- 4 days over a 7 day rota.



Monday to Friday - Either 7.30am-7.15pm or 7.45am-4.15pm



Saturday and Sunday- 8.45am to 17.15pm



Salary



This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to 37,796 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing





As a Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will


undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening. support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received promote safe patient care develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications required (copy from JD)


Registered Nurse Excellent communication skills Good IT skills and IT literacy Ability to work within a busy environment Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
