Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support
Support the coordination and delivery of PCN projects, programmes, and initiatives.
Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Provide operational support for events, meetings, and PCN wide activities.
Monitor and manage PCN task lists to ensure timely completion and smooth workflow.
Support the preparation and submission of bids, reports, and data returns.
Assist with the development of new services and initiatives within the PCN.
Administrative Support
Manage and update PCN communication channels, including the website and social media platforms.
Coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, and organise venues or virtual meeting links.
Prepare agendas, take accurate minutes, and distribute documentation.
Maintain accurate records, databases, and administrative systems.
Support staff onboarding processes, including rota management and system access requests.
Communicate effectively with practices, stakeholders, and external partners.
Systems & Data
Use clinical and operational systems such as SystmOne (desirable).
Maintain and update staff rotas for operational and clinical services.
Provide data and reporting support for PCN projects and performance monitoring.
Ensure all information is handled confidentially and in line with data protection requirements.

  • Strong administrative experience with excellent organisational and timemanagement skills.
  • High level of IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
Desirable
  • Previous NHS or primary care experience.
  • Understanding of systems such as SystmOne.
  • Experience supporting projects or service development.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
Qualifications
