. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for an individual who is passionate about inclusive physical education and skilled at adapting PE provision to meet the diverse needs of students in specialist settings.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver inclusive, engaging physical education lessons tailored to students with varying needs, including those with complex SEND profiles.
Assess and monitor student progress, adapting approaches to support individual learning and physical development.
Provide leadership and guidance to coaching staff across multiple SEND and alternative provision settings.
Report to the line manager on program outcomes, staff performance, and student progress.
Develop a flexible and needs-led scheme of work that reflects the unique environments of non-mainstream educational settings.
Experience Required:
Minimum 2 years' experience delivering PE in non-mainstream or SEND school environments.
Demonstrated understanding of working with young people with a range of needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), ASD, and physical disabilities.
Experience managing and mentoring other coaching or support staff.
Proven ability to plan and adapt schemes of work to suit diverse educational settings and abilities.
