Job Details



>The role: Primary PE Teacher/Sports Coach

>Contract: Flexible and open to negotiations. Part or full time options available (we require candidates with a minimum availability of 3 days 12-4.30pm). Term-time also available.

>Salary: 22,223 - 31,000 depending on experience and qualifications. (This is FT equivalent salary based on 35/week).

>Location: Wirral

>Closing Date for Applications: 14th August (early applications encouraged)

>Start Date: September or as soon as possible.



As a Primary PE Teacher/Sports Coach, you will deliver exciting and high-quality PE lessons and sports sessions for children in Reception to Year 6. We pride ourselves on being a supportive organisation and are eager to help the right candidate to develop and further their career.

Key Responsibilities



>Teach PE lessons to children from Reception to Year 6

>Cover different areas of the national curriculum, including athletics, games, gymnastics, dance, and outdoor activities

>Run breakfast and after-school sports clubs

>Assess student progress

>Be a positive role model and create a fun learning environment

>Ensure the safety and security of the children in your care

>Manage classroom behaviour to maintain a positive atmosphere

>Attend professional development training

>Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other professionals

>Follow company policies related to equal opportunities, child protection, and health and safety

Additional Responsibilities



> Lead and assist with holiday clubs

> Support community sports sessions

> Conduct risk assessments

> Help promote Hall Star Education's services

What we are looking for



> Comfortable teaching all areas of the curriculum

> Engaging, passionate, and committed to providing a great experience in PE for all children

> Considerate of different children's needs and ability to adapt accordingly

> Professional, punctual, and reliable

> Well-organised, adaptable, and able to take initiative

> Willing to travel between different locations

> Must have access to a car and a valid driver's license

Qualifications and Experience Required:



> At least 1 year of experience working with children in a school setting (essential)

> PGCE/QTS Status in primary teaching or secondary PE (desirable)

> Level 2 coaching qualification in at least one sport (essential)*

> Level 1 coaching qualification in at least one other sport (essential)*

> An undergraduate degree or Level 3 qualification in Supporting the Delivery of PE and School Sport (desirable)

> Willingness to work towards a Multi-Skills Level 2 Qualification

> GCSE in Maths and English at Grade C (Grade 4) or better

A relevant PGCE or teaching qualification might exempt candidates from some of these requirements.
Candidates without a teaching qualification must have the essential coaching qualifications and necessary experience.

This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check, suitable references, and background checks.
