Job Description

Edstart Sports Coaching is hiring a PE teacher / sports coach. The role involves delivering high-quality PE and sports coaching sessions to primary school children, both during school time and in extracurricular activities. Candidates should be passionate about sports and physical activity, and possess the skills to plan, deliver, and adapt sessions for different age groups and abilities.

Job Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering engaging sports sessions, often using the PE curriculum as a framework. Motivating and inspiring children to participate in physical activity. Ensuring sessions are safe, inclusive, and tailored to different ability levels. Building positive relationships with children, school staff, and parents. Maintaining equipment and ensuring sessions run efficiently. Adhering to Edstart's safeguarding policies. Potentially working during before/after school clubs and holiday clubs.
Qualifications and Skills:

Passion for sports and physical activity. Experience in coaching or teaching, particularly in primary school settings. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt sessions to different age groups and ability levels. Knowledge of the PE national curriculum or specific programs of study. Understanding of safeguarding principles.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
