Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of PE Teachers and Sports Coaches!

Ignite Sports Coaching have been delivering fun, engaging sessions across York and North Yorkshire for the past 6 years.

The position would suit a Primary School Teacher or experienced HLTA with a passion for sport and coaching and/ or a Secondary School PE specialist with a passion to work at the Primary level.

Throughout term time the successful candidate with provide lessons will consisting of PE PPA cover, CPD for school staff as well as extracurricular sports clubs. They will have the ability to teach PE within a Primary School environment working with class teachers and pupils in both Key Stage One and Two.

As well as developing strong working relationships with schools during term time, working at our ever-growing holiday clubs is a big part of the role.

Essential criteria



Degree in PE / Sport (or working towards) Minimum 2 years experience working with primary school children Hold or be willing to complete an enhanced DBS check and safeguarding Enthusiasm and a passion for working with children in sport Reliable form of transport Excellent behaviour management skills Have confidence and communication skills

Desirable criteria



Primary school PE teaching experience QTS HLTA Qualification Paediatric First aid Multiple sporting qualifications

Hours:

8:30am - 4:30pm (Minimum 28 hours per week in term time)

8.30am - 4.30pm at Holiday Clubs (40 hours per week)

Holidays:

28 days pro rata

Wage:

Dependent on candidates teaching experience.

There is no set start date for this position but would ideally be as soon as possible but is negotiable for the right candidate.
