School Caretaker - Maharishi School ( two sites ) To start ASAP

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on

Caretaker

to join Maharishi School. If you're practical, organised, and enjoy DIY or general maintenance work, this could be the ideal role for you.

Hours:

16 hours per week (Monday-Friday ) Working times can be flexible on request Monday 8:00 a.m to 11:30 a.m Tuesday 8:00 a.m to 11:30 a.m Wednesday 8:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m Thursday 8:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m Friday 8:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m

Pay:

13.50 per hour

Contract:

38 weeks Term Time only ( Extra hours during non term time possible )

Annual Leave:

Must be taken during periods of school closure only

Working Pattern:

Monday to Friday

Two Sites:

3 minute drive between them ( 1 mile distance )

1st Phase:

Cobbs Brow Lane, Ormskirk, L40 6JJ

2nd Phase:

Woodley Park Road Skelmersdale WN86UQ Travel between these sites is required to check maintenance logs and conduct safety checks

Main Responsibilities

Conduct regular safety and maintenance checks (training provided) Perform general repairs, minor plumbing, decorating, and DIY tasks Light grounds maintenance (weeding, leaf clearing, litter picking) Ensure safe access during adverse weather (e.g. snow, ice, leaves)

Health & Safety

Follow all Health & Safety and COSHH regulations Take reasonable care for personal and others' safety Lone working may be required, especially depending on your shift Some lifting may be involved and manual handling

What We're Looking For

Experience in DIY or maintenance Practical skills in DIY or trades (caretaker experience a plus, but not essential) Good communication and time management Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn (training provided) Able to work independently and as part of a team Willing to undertake online training as needed

Additional Information
