We are seeking a a range of dedicated and passionate Sports Coaches from to join our team in Kirklees. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in sports coaching and teaching, with the ability to inspire and motivate athletes of all ages and skill levels. As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for developing training programmes, enhancing performance, and fostering a positive sporting environment.
Duties
Design and implement PE/sports sessions tailored to the needs of individual pupils.
Teach fundamental skills, techniques, and strategies relevant to the sport.
Conduct regular assessments of pupils and provide constructive feedback.
Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes teamwork and sportsmanship.
Organise and lead practice sessions, drills, and competitive events.
Maintain safety standards during all training activities to prevent injuries.
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and other staff members regarding progress and development.
Stay updated on the latest coaching techniques, rules, and regulations within the sport.
Qualifications/ Qualities/ Experience
Proven experience in sports coaching or teaching is essential.
Knowledge of the primary school PE curriculum.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with athletes effectively.
Ability to motivate individuals and foster a sense of teamwork among participants.
Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications are preferred but not mandatory (CPD will be a continuous part of the role).
