Job Description

New Horizons Academy is an alternative education provision for learners aged 5 to 11, whose needs cannot be met within a mainstream environment. The school joined TOVE Learning Trust in February 2024 and are now part of a close knit family of schools that have a shared vision and purpose, to deliver outstanding educational experiences for all pupils and staff within the trust.

Our pupils have been referred by either West or North Northants Local Authorities with a primary diagnosis of SEMH. They have wonderful personalities and enjoy the benefit of an engaging, hands-on learning style and adapted curriculum. The school believes that every student can realise their true potential with the right support and teaching.

As well as supporting our students to excel in basic academic lessons, we also offer an array of social enrichment learning through both creative, therapeutic and practical approaches such as cookery, art music and outdoor learning. We are committed to investing in children to enhance their skills and experiences in both the classroom and outdoors.

This is an exciting time to be joining New Horizons and we are now looking for a talented and committed teacher to join our team of staff. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with a specialism in science, and those appointed with this expertise will be eligible for a TLR in this area.

- Support pupils and parents/careers in maximizing effective learning.

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK and hold a current driver's licence.
