We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals without hand-holding. If you are confident with KS1 -KS2 English and Maths, enjoy working with children, and want to be part of a centre that invests in its team, you'll fit in well here.
Responsibilities
Teaching small groups (max 5 learners) using our structured programmes
Supporting learners aged 5 -11 with English, reading, writing, spelling and maths
Giving clear feedback to help learners grow week after week
Following set lesson plans - no endless marking or planning
Foster a calm, positive, supportive and encouraging environment that promotes confidence and motivation in learners
Using our Kip McGrath software (full training provided)
Maintain punctuality and professionalism during all tutoring sessions
Skills
Strong knowledge of KS1/KS2 English and Maths
Experience working with learners (school, tutoring, mentoring, etc.)
Clear communicator, patient, reliable
Someone who takes pride in helping children build confidence
Experience working with learners with special educational needs is desirable
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit diverse learning styles and abilities
Ability to work evenings and /or Saturdays
Organised with the ability to plan lessons and manage time efficiently
Teaching qualification is essential
