Primary Teaching Assistant

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school. The Role


The successful candidate will support teaching and learning across the primary age range, working closely with class teachers to deliver engaging lessons and provide individual or small-group support. The role involves assisting with classroom management, preparing resources, and promoting positive behaviour and learning attitudes. You will play a key role in helping children develop their academic and social skills.

The Ideal Person


The ideal candidate will hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification and have a genuine passion for supporting children's learning. Experience working with primary-aged pupils is desirable, along with strong communication and organisational skills. This role would suit someone who is patient, adaptable, and eager to contribute to a positive classroom environment. Those with backgrounds in childcare, youth work, or similar fields are also encouraged to apply if they are looking to transition their skills into the classroom.

Hours
Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm. Both full-time and part-time applications are welcomed.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.

Pay: 91.00-105.00 per day
