- Principal Service Architect




The Principal Service Architect will be responsible for designing and evolving best-in-class managed services across Voice, Room Managed Services, and Digital Signage. They will blend deep technical expertise with commercial insight to architect scalable, cost-effective service offerings that drive customer success and business growth. This individual will serve as a bridge between engineering, service delivery, and commercial teams--translating client requirements and market trends into innovative, operationally viable solutions. A strong communicator and strategic thinker, the Service Architect will influence internal roadmaps, support major client pursuits, and serve as a trusted advisor to key stakeholder


The

Principal Service Architect

will provide strategic guidance and expertise to clients, driving business growth and success through innovative UC solutions. They will leverage extensive expertise in UC engineering principles and industry best practices to consult with clients, assess their needs, and deliver tailored solutions that enhance operational efficiency, performance and financial viability.


This position will engage cross-functional teams, facilitate project planning, and ensure the implementation of best-in-class methodologies. Responsibilities will include conducting thorough analysis, developing strategic roadmaps with the sales team, and mentoring other engineers to foster their professional growth. This position will also engage stakeholders to present findings and recommendations, while cultivating strong relationships to promote collaboration and client satisfaction.


The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of technical domains relevant to our business, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of successful solution development. A degree in Engineering, Networking and/or a related field, along with extensive industry experience, is highly valued. An ability to communicate complex concepts effectively will be crucial in articulating insights and driving organizational success.

Key Responsibilities:



Service Design & Development



Lead the architecture and definition of managed service offerings related to voice, room technologies (VC/AV), and digital signage. Translate client requirements and market trends into viable service models. Define scalable, standardized service components including SLAs, support models, and delivery processes. Create service design documentation (SOWs, HLDs, operational blueprints).

Commercial Engagement



Work closely with sales and account teams to support business development through solution design, proposal creation, and client engagement. Provide financial modelling and commercial input to ensure service profitability and competitiveness. Participate in commercial strategy development and contribute to pricing, margin, and cost optimization efforts.

Consulting & Client Advisory



Act as lead consultant during service design workshops, assessments, and audits. Present service strategies and designs to customers at all levels, including C-level stakeholders. Develop service roadmaps for strategic accounts and guide customers through transformation journeys. Global capabilities to work with clients that have a global presence, to help them solve their global initiatives, issues and concerns.

Internal Collaboration & Enablement



Collaborate with product, engineering, delivery, and operations teams to ensure seamless transition from design to implementation. Train internal teams and support the development of sales enablement tools. Mentor and guide engineers and solution consultants.

Skills & Competencies:



Technical Expertise



Deep knowledge of unified communications (UC), audio-visual systems, room management platforms (e.g., Crestron, Utelogy), and digital signage (e.g., Appspace). Familiarity with platforms such as Cisco, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, HP/Poly, Neat. Understanding of ITIL-based service design and operations frameworks. Experience designing services in hybrid, cloud, and on-prem environments.

Commercial Acumen



Strong understanding of managed services business models. Ability to create and interpret pricing models, ROI, and TCO analysis. Experience supporting commercial bids, proposals, and executive-level presentations.

Consulting & Leadership



Proven track record in client-facing consulting roles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence both technical and business audiences. Self-starter with high initiative and the ability to manage complexity across global environments.

Qualifications & Experience:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Networking, IT, or a related field. 10+ years in technical and/or service architecture roles, with at least 5 years in UC/AV/Managed Services. A high level of experience working with UC/Collaboration technologies including systems and services from manufactures such as Cisco, Microsoft, Zoom, HP/Poly, Pexip, Neat, Appspace, Utelogy, Crestron. Cisco Collaboration CCNA or higher preferred. Microsoft 365 Certified Fundamentals. Microsoft 365 Certified Teams Administrator. Certifications such as ITIL, AVIXA CTS, Microsoft 365, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, or equivalent preferred. Experience with global service delivery is highly desirable.
