Job Description

Objective of Role



To manage and execute all aspects of the printing and production process, from file preparation to final finishing, ensuring consistency in quality, accuracy in color management, and efficiency in production workflows.

Job Role & Responsibilities



Prepare artwork files for print, ensuring accuracy in dimensions, formats, and color profiles.

Operate and maintain large-format printers, including HP Latex (800 & 830), and Epson Solvent (S80600) printers.

Load and run printers, identify and resolve technical faults, and perform routine maintenance.

Monitor and manage color accuracy and consistency across all printed outputs.

Maintain stock levels of ink, media, and laminates, and coordinate reordering when necessary.

Apply laminates and carry out finishing tasks, ensuring print durability and high-quality results.

Use Onyx RIP Thrive to prepare and manage print jobs efficiently.

Prepare vinyl and other materials for installation, including cutting and weeding designs.

Conduct quality checks on all prints to ensure client specifications are met.

Keep the workspace organized and ensure equipment is clean and in good working condition.

KPI's

Accuracy and quality of printed outputs, including color matching and finishing.

Timeliness and efficiency in completing print jobs and meeting production schedules.

Effective maintenance of printers and minimal downtime due to technical issues.

Key Attributes / Skills (Desirable & Essential)



Essential:



Strong knowledge of artwork preparation for print, including file setup and formatting.

Experience with HP Latex (800 & 830), and Epson Solvent (S80600) printers.

Proficiency in loading, running, troubleshooting, and maintaining large-format printers.

Keen eye for color accuracy, color management, and matching.

Familiarity with self-adhesive materials and their profiling for various applications.

Competency in using Onyx RIP software, particularly Thrive.

Ability to manage stock levels and coordinate ordering for media, ink, and laminates.

Experience with laminating and finishing prints to a high standard.

Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator

Experience with vinyl plotters, loading running, weeding and finishing.

Desirable:



Previous experience in the vehicle wrapping or large-format printing industry.

A proactive approach to identifying workflow improvements and problem-solving.

Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.71-15.00 per hour
