Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and academically accomplished candidate to provide exceptional educational guidance and developmental support. The successful candidate will be assisting with general care and day-to-day routines in a private household setting.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about child development, education, and holistic growth, and who thrives in a structured, respectful, and nurturing family environment.

Responsibilities:

Education & Learning

Support learning in literacy, numeracy, science, and general knowledge Introduce critical thinking, cultural awareness, and curiosity Monitor learning progress, adapt teaching methods, and provide regular feedback to parents

Child Development & Care

Promote emotional intelligence, self-confidence, and positive behavior Guide social development through age-appropriate activities and respectful communication Provide attentive care during non-instructional time, including meal supervision, outings, and routines Maintain a tidy, organized learning space and assist with light child-related household tasks Foster independence, responsibility, and a love of learning

Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience in a similar role (e.g., Governess, Private Tutor, Primary Teacher) Deep understanding of early childhood and/or primary-age development Fluent in English Excellent communication skills with children and adults Professional, discreet, and reliable, with a calm and confident demeanor Introduce critical thinking, cultural awareness, and curiosity Monitor learning progress, adapt teaching methods, and provide regular feedback to parents

Experience

Previous experience in childcare or a related field is preferred but not essential. A genuine love for working with children and understanding of child development principles. Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. First Aid certification is advantageous but can be obtained after employment.
