Job Title: Private Client Lawyer

We are a well-established solicitors' firm based in Ipswich, renowned for delivering exceptional legal services across East Anglia. Our Private Client team is highly regarded for its expertise in providing empathetic and professional advice to a diverse client base. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a dedicated Private Client Fee Earner to join our progressive and supportive team.

The Role

- Managing a varied caseload, providing high-quality legal services

- Drafting wills and lasting powers of attorney

- Probate and estate administration

- Trusts and tax planning

- Advising on inheritance and capital gains tax

- Handling private client matters with sensitivity and professionalism

- Working closely with our experienced team, ensuring excellent client care and contributing to the department's reputation for excellence.

- Opportunity to work either part-time or full-time,

- Flexible working arrangements available, including hybrid options.

Key Responsibilities

- Managing a full caseload of private client matters with minimal supervision

- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent communication and service

- Drafting legal documents and providing clear, empathetic advice

- Staying up to date with developments in private client law

- Collaborating with colleagues to support the growth of the department

About You

- Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or experienced Fee Earner with a minimum of 1-3 years' PQE (or equivalent experience) in private client law

- Experience essential in handling private client matters

- Strong knowledge of wills, probate, trusts, and tax planning

- Excellent client care and communication skills

- STEP qualification or working towards it is desirable but not essential
