About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Private Client Solicitor / Team Leader to join and lead our Private Client department in Huddersfield. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with a strong background in private client work and leadership to help shape the future of a growing and reputable firm.

You will take responsibility for your own caseload of private client matters while also managing and mentoring a team of solicitors, legal executives, and support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing a varied caseload of private client matters including: Wills and estate planning Probate and estate administration Trusts and tax planning Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters Leading, mentoring, and developing a small team of fee earners and support staff Reviewing and supervising team members' work to ensure high standards of service and compliance Ensuring departmental KPIs and compliance standards are met Building and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent service delivery Supporting the wider strategic goals of the firm including business development and marketing initiatives Identifying and implementing improvements in systems, processes, and client service Keeping up to date with changes in private client law and best practices

Requirements:

Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales), ideally 5+ years PQE Strong technical knowledge and experience in all areas of private client law Proven experience managing or mentoring junior colleagues Excellent client care, communication, and interpersonal skills Commercial awareness and a proactive, problem-solving approach Ability to work independently and as part of a wider leadership team

Pay: 24,420.00-33,025.65 per year
