About your team

Fidelity Private Assets Operations team is responsible for the day to day operational management of our Real Estate and Private Credit Funds, delivering operational excellence in a strong and robust control environment. The team are also responsible for the for the design and development of an efficient and scalable end to end Target Operating Model designed to facilitate significant growth as the business scales over the coming years.

About your role

The Private Assets Senior Operations Director will be required to support the Head of Private Asset Operations with the day to day management of the Private Assets Operations function and ongoing development of the operating model through:

  • Operational Oversight: Oversight and provision of guidance and support to the Private Assets Operations management team in relation to the day to day fund operations service delivery
  • Strategic Third Party Vendors: Establish strong relationships with strategic third-party vendors; support the design and implementation of operating model, processes and practices to ensure robust management and within a clear control environment.
  • Operations Op Model Development:
  • Support the development of the Operations team capability and organisational design
  • Evaluate, identify and deliver solutions for new / enhanced operational servicing requirements (e.g. financial instruments, complex fund structures, treasury management etc)
  • Oversight and continuous enhancement of the Private Assets Operational reporting and governance
  • Oversee the development, enhancement and on-going performance of technology infrastructure and data architecture.
  • Data Goverance: Oversight of the implementation and management of a robust data governance and management framework; and data solutions development.
  • Transactions Services: Oversight and further development of deal/transaction administration and co-ordination support services to the Investment teams.
  • Managing Risk: Oversight and development of the risk and controls frameworks, providing support and guidance to the management team in relation to audit and the management of risk events.
  • Process & Policies: Develop, Enhance and Maintain key operational policies, process and procedural documentation.
  • SLA\xe2\x80\x99s & KPI\xe2\x80\x99s: Establish clear SLA\xe2\x80\x99s and KPI\xe2\x80\x99s between Operations and connected Internal / External parties, associated performance management and reporting
  • Provide SME thought leadership to contribute to the development of innovative solutions, raise awareness and enhance understanding of Private Asset Classes and FIL\xe2\x80\x99s strategy across ISS and the wider business.
  • Work closely with the programme management team responsible for delivering the strategic change required to implement the target operating model to ensure clear understanding of the strategic operating model design and alignment of activities within connected programmes of work underway within the broader business.
About you
  • Ideally Minimum of 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a Head of Operations / Fund Control, ideally with exposure to Private Assets
  • Demonstrative experience of leading and delivering operating model optimization
  • Strong Interpersonal skills and team-oriented approach
  • Experience of effecting change and identifying efficiencies on different internal processes.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills and the ability to effectively summarize findings, and clear communication both verbally and in writing to internal audiences and external clients.
  • Detail-oriented and highly motivated.
  • Ability to work effectively to meet multiple tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Qualified Accountant - ACCA, ACA or CIMA preferred
