As Process Operations Lead, we're on the lookout for a driven, detail-focused individual to take the lead in delivering both regulatory excellence and practical innovation.



In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for all scientific and technical operations, ensuring assets perform efficiently and compliantly within budget. Your work will directly support financial targets, regulatory requirements customer satisfaction and broader business goals.



From managing performance metrics like UWWTD, PPC, UV, WRA and Flow to applying standards such as HACCP and self-reporting you'll have the opportunity to influence and drive continuous improvement across a range of operational activities.


Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Analyse operational performance data, identify issues and implement corrective actions while ensuring health, safety and regulatory standards are met. Lead the development and delivery of action plans to meet environmental compliance and internal performance targets across wastewater operations. Work collaboratively with Field Technical Officers, Process Controllers, and Operators to drive safe, efficient, and compliant performance. Provide technical and scientific direction to optimise wastewater treatment assets, including reviewing schedules, monitoring alarms, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Support and develop team capability by promoting best practice, delivering training, and sharing expertise in process optimisation and asset management. Contribute to risk planning, regulatory reporting, and key projects that shape the long-term success of our wastewater operations.

Technical Skills & Experience

As Process Operations Lead you will need to demonstrate a strong background in wastewater treatment operations along with the ability to lead, influence, and drive performance. Key requirements include:


Proven experience in wastewater treatment operations, with a thorough understanding of treatment processes, best practices, and performance improvement. Excellent technical knowledge of wastewater treatment assets, including operational and maintenance requirements, to deliver cost-effective, long-term solutions. Strong analytical, IT, numerical, and problem-solving skills to meet operational and financial performance targets. Effective written, oral, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated ability to lead, support and develop direct reports within a technical or operational environment.
