About The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our water treatment team for a Process Technician in the Oxford area. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on the delivery of wholesome water to Thames Water\xe2\x80\x99s customers

Your daily activities will range from testing, routine checks, basic maintenance, and problem-solving to ensure safe and efficient operation of the water treatment works. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for reactive work such as fault finding and responding to emergency breakdowns. Full process training will be provided.

You will be expected to take ownership of your own and colleagues health and safety through escalating any concerns to your manager or resolving them yourself where possible and appropriate. This will involve making sure the work area and site is safe before commencing any work by undertaking a risk assessment.

This is an outside, hands-on role and very rewarding for someone who wants to get stuck in and be part of a team that plays an invaluable role for serving our customers.

We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for you to:

  • Have basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Previous operative experience would be beneficial but is not essential \xe2\x80\x93 we welcome people who are keen to learn
  • Must be prepared to be trained in safety procedures
  • Some computer data input/enquiry experience is desirable however not essential. The ability to operate modern technology as work will be scheduled through this system
  • You will be a team player and must be passionate about your own personal development and keen to learn a new industry
  • Must have full UK Driving Licence
