We are looking for a Procurement Administrative Officer to join our Building Services team in Derby.
Working as a Procurement Administrative Officer you will be responsible for providing a professional storekeeping function for the Royal Derby Hospital PFI including ordering, receipt and issuing of spare parts and materials, to provide an efficient maintenance service to the contract ensuring compliance with performance measurement system standards.
What you'll do:

  • Evaluate PPM and Reactive jobs to ensure correct spare are available to provide the service.
  • Identify suppliers needed to provide the service.
  • Provide advice to management on methods to achieve best practice and compliance with the contract. Now and into the future.
  • Assist with the feedback of requisition information to ensure dynamic and up to date management information is always available.
  • Review stock levels in the main store and sub stores on a continuous basis and take appropriate corrective action to ensure that pre-determined minimum stock levels are maintained.
  • Create a computerised stock control and ordering system (Concept).
  • Using the computerised work control system, order, receive and issue goods and materials.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • Must have proven experience working in a similar environment in a position of responsibility.
  • A good practical understanding of stock management and stock control systems gained in a variety of work settings.
  • An understanding of the impact, good stock management systems have in the delivery of a quality, cost-effective service in line with the present contract.
  • A broad knowledge of building services associated with a large, multi-disciplinary service provider.
