We are looking for a Procurement Administrator/ Trainee Buyer to support our procurement manager with sourcing, negotiating and purchasing the materials and services that power our multi-utility projects.

Responsibilities



oManagement of email account inboxes, including supplier registrations, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.

oHandle incoming calls providing assistance and resolving queries professionally.

oMonitor inventory levels and collaborate with suppliers and the warehouse team to maintain optimal stock levels.

oPrevent shortages by proactive planning and timely ordering.

oAssist with sourcing new suppliers and products to enhance procurement options.

oRaise purchase orders for stock orders, collections, and direct-to-site deliveries, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

oMonitor delivery schedules and back-order reports, actively following up to minimise delays.

oChase Proof of Deliveries (PODs) to confirm receipt of goods and address discrepancies promptly.

oAllocate invoice costs and resolve invoice queries to maintain accurate financial records.

oMaintain supplier and subcontractor documentation, ensuring compliance and up-to-date records.

oWork alongside project teams to plan materials and logistics for efficient supply chain operations.

oConduct cost analysis on current and new products to support budget management and cost-saving initiatives.

Skills Required



oStrong administrative and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

oKeen attention to detail and the ability to analyse and interpret data to support strategy development.

Adaptability to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
oStrong communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to build relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and internal teams professionally.

Experience in handling sensitive data in compliance with relevant regulations and policies. Team player who offers support and guidance, contributing to overall team success.

Educational Requirements



oBusiness and administration qualifications or relevant experience in a similar role.

Proficiency with IT systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. Full UK Driving License.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,000.00-35,000.00 per year
